Guy Hilariously Plays Xmas Songs in the Style of Video Game Music

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear, right?

Wrong.

Apparently, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is to play everyone's favorite carols in the style of well-known video game themes, all while keeping a deadpan expression on your face.

If you don't have time to watch the whole thing, skip to your favorites. "Auld Lang Syne" in the style of The Legend of Zelda begins at 0:09, "Deck the Halls" in the style of Super Mario 64 at 0:23, "Angels We Have Heard on High" as the unskippable water level that everyone hates at 0:43,"12 Days of Christmas" in 8-bit style at 1:15, a reprise of Zelda with "O Come All Ye Faithful" at 1:41, and finally, an aggressive Grand Theft Auto "Jingle Bells" at 1:59.

Seth Everman is a 23-year-old Swedish musician, YouTuber, and general internet sensation known for his ability to humorously transform popular melodies with classical music techniques and styling.

He gained notoriety after a 2015 Tumblr post that combined Drake's "Hotline Bling" with Nintendo 64 tunes from "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time," "Super Mario 64," and "Mario Kart 64" got picked up by MTV and Rolling Stone.

Everman has a very specific type of self-aware humor that makes me cackle. His Tumblr and Instagram are full of funny memes you should definitely check out.

Everman's posts serve as a reminder to keep the holidays weird and funny.
